Regent Seven Seas Cruises announces its 2021 World Cruise that will provide guests with access to 56 United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)-designated world heritage sites across the globe.
A world cruise conjures images of exploring the world’s fascinating destinations on a multi-month luxurious journey. For those who wish to explore nearly all corners of the world in one epic voyage, Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ 2021 World Cruise sails aboard the world’s first all-suite, all-balcony ship, Seven Seas Mariner®, for 117 nights from Miami to Barcelona – visiting six continents, 30 countries and 61 ports across South America, French Polynesia, Australia, Asia and the Mediterranean, including 11 overnight stays.
This journey brings guests to famous cities such as Sydney and its famed Opera House and Dubai with its towering skyscrapers and bright lights. Yet, it is the lesser-travelled places that truly make this voyage a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
“We thoughtfully design world cruise itineraries to bring guests to sites they desire to explore, ranging from iconic destinations to the hidden gems that can only be accommodated on a cruise of this length,” said Jason Montague, Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ president and chief executive officer. “Guests embark on world cruises to discover many destinations in one voyage with immersive experiences, visit museums, see historical sites, appreciate local arts and culture, and enjoy exclusive shoreside activities offering a unique way to understand our world. On this 2021 voyage, guests can visit 56 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in ports like Colombo, Sri Lanka, Jerusalem, Israel and Limassol, Cyprus, and each night return to their spacious and luxurious suite and enjoy personalised service on board. What’s more, we feature 11 overnight stays in some of the world’s premier destinations so world cruisers feel fully immersed in these ports of call.”
The voyage departs on Jan. 5, 2021.
World Cruise Highlights
Embarking From Miami, guests will journey deep into the picturesque Caribbean islands before crossing the Panama Canal to explore South America’s west coast. This leg of the voyage will include visits to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Chan Chan — an ancient adobe city built by the predecessors of the ancient Incas — as well as Peru’s Machu Picchu, Pisco’s Nazca Lines and Easter Island’s moai statues.
Sailing through turquoise waters between French Polynesia, New Zealand and Australia, guests will encounter beautiful beaches, pristine islands and majestic marine life, especially at lesser-known places like the Bay of Islands, a small and stunning district of New Zealand’s Northland region featuring 144 islands. Other highlights include exploring the Great Barrier Reef and the 74 island wonders that comprise Whitsunday, the majority of which are uninhabited national park islands, making it one of the most pristine places in the world.
Making her way from Indonesia to Oman, Seven Seas Mariner will visit Asian destinations that are unlike any other, including Fujairah. The only one of the UAE’s seven Emirates not located on the Arabian Gulf, the destination is set amongst the beautiful Hajar Mountains and surrounded by the clear blue waters of the Gulf of Oman. Compare that landscape to that of Petra, home to the famed Wadi Rum desert and ruins of Petra, which is lapped by the Red Sea.
In the Mediterranean, guests will visit Limassol, where they can stroll on a beautiful chalk-like coastline on Governor’s Beach; Amalfi; and the lesser known Furore. Known for its magnificent fjord, it is a natural fortress that is hidden from the world and only lit by the sun in the afternoon, making it the perfect location for a dip after a delicious lunch.
Guests sailing this 33,500-nautical mile journey will enjoy overnight stays in Lima, Peru; Hanga Roa, Easter Island; Auckland, New Zealand; Brisbane, Australia; Bali, Indonesia; Singapore; Mumbai, India; Dubai, UAE; Luxor (Safaga), Egypt; Jerusalem (Haifa), Israel; and Istanbul, Turkey.
Highlights of the 56 UNESCO World Heritage Sites guests can visit include:
• Great Barrier Reef off the shore of Cairns, Australia
• Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai, India
• Old City of Acre outside of Jerusalem (Haifa), Israel
• Medieval City of Rhodes in Rhodes, Greece
• Palau de la Música Catalana and Hospital de Sant Pau in Barcelona, Spain
• Archaeological Site of Troy in Bozcaada, Turkey
• Bahla Fort (Muscat), Oman
Regent Seven Seas Cruises is including these three unique land experiences exclusive to world cruise guests: Mystical Moai Experience, Hanga Roa, Easter Island — January 27, 2021
There’s no inhabited spot in the world quite so isolated as Easter Island. A mere dot off the coast of Chile in the vast Pacific Ocean, Rapa Nui, as it’s called in the people’s native language, is a one-of-a-kind destination making it the
perfect place to join fellow world cruisers for an unforgettable shoreside experience. Explore Rapa Nui’s pink-sand beaches, its volcanic cones and windswept grasslands, and of course, the monumental Moai statues — more than 800 of them bearing silent witness to a long-lost, complex society. Not only will you be able to see these incredible sculptures firsthand, but also participate in a recreation of a celebration called Tapati. Delight in folk music performances, body painting and an authentic dinner in this spectacular setting.
Arresting Australia, Brisbane, Australia — February 28, 2021
For more than a hundred years the Alcatraz of Queensland, Boggo Road, held hardened British convicts. Today its doors are wide open to shed light on Australia’s infamous history as a convict nation. After a welcoming cocktail reception, guests will embark on an intimate and insightful tour of the facilities, where the drama and stories of prisoners are brought to life by guides, and will also have the unique opportunity to meet and chat with a former inmate. Surrounded by towering red brick walls, the prison yard is transformed into a dinner venue, where guests will dine and mingle.
Royalty of Wadi Rum, Aqaba, Jordan — April 11, 2021
The evening’s celebration is set against the backdrop of a castle replica in Jordan’s Wadi Rum where guests will enjoy a Bedouin tradition fit for royalty. In addition to a welcome by a traditional Dabke dance that is widely performed at weddings and other joyous events, more unforgettable entertainment includes belly dancing, traditional music performed by a Bedouin folkloric band, and artists adorning hands with Henna tattoos. As guests take in the serenity of the desert, they will delight in complimentary champagne and canapés before indulging in an enticing selection of authentic dishes and classic Arabian sweets.

Today marks an incredible day for Silversea. They have just announced to the world the entrance of Royal Caribbean in the equity capital of Silversea. Manfredi Lefebvre has said that this is a partnership which will give them capital and financial strength to accelerate their growth and out distance all of their competitors in the Luxury and Expedition space by building many more small ships.
Manfredi Lefebvre will remain in his current role of Executive Chairman of the company long term, continuing to steer their strategy as will Roberto Martinoli, the CEO.
Commercially Manfredi Lefebrve believes it will be very much business as usual for Silversea, and if you have upcoming reservations with them, there will be no changes to the existing plans. Silversea continue to look forward to welcoming their discerning guests onboard.
11 Jun 2018
I am delighted to announce that Silversea will partner once again with Fincantieri for the construction of an eleventh luxury-ship, tentatively named Silver Dawn, expected for Autumn 2021.
With enhanced design specifications and enriched content, Silver Dawn will continue building on the sophistication, innovative style and ground-breaking concept for which Silversea ships are renowned. This ship will follow the evolution of 596-guest, 40,700-tonne Silver Muse and Silver Moon. She will carry on the ambitious growth plans that ensure our continued leadership in ultra-luxury cruising. The all-suite Silver Dawn will echo the innovative design of the Silver Muse, incorporating an array of inspired dining venues, small-ship intimacy, spacious outdoor areas and state-of-the-art technology – plus, a few additional enhancements.
Silver Dawn will light the way across the tides of the oceans and will be the inspiration by which we will all be guided. As the sun breaks to illuminate the new day, so too will Silver Dawn shine upon the horizons she travels through.
This exciting evolution would not have been possible without your continued support.
Manfredi Lefebvre D’Ovidio, Silversea Chairman

In the final phase of Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ $125 million refurbishment programme, the company completed its bow-to-stern upgrade of Seven Seas Mariner, elevating the ship to the level of elegance set by Seven Seas Explorer® and providing a consistent look and feel to the entire fleet. Seven Seas Mariner completed a 20-day drydock at Chantier Naval de Marseille, and has re-emerged with dramatic new culinary experiences, elegant new suite designs, and completely renewed elegant guest spaces. “I’m constantly amazed by the attention to detail that goes into our ships, and the newly refurbished Seven Seas Mariner is no different, from the luxurious décor down to the intricate design elements,” said Jason Montague, president and chief executive officer for Regent Seven Seas Cruises. “With the culmination of our fleet-wide refurbishment programme, and with the construction of Seven Seas Splendor® underway, we are perfecting luxury and indeed have the most luxurious fleet at sea.”
Offering an even more elevated dining experience, all restaurants on board Seven Seas Mariner received a stylish redesign with enhanced art and décor. The newly updated steakhouse on Seven Seas Mariner, Prime 7, is now unlike any other restaurant in Regent’s fleet, with unique, rectangular light fixtures that are reminiscent of a sculpture across the ceiling, and cream-coloured, pillow-backed chairs contrasted by sapphire walls and wood finishes.
The flagship restaurant Compass Rose is completely reimagined, with a popular menu offering guests an unprecedented level of personal customisation and choice, as well as a stunning new look with grand crystal chandeliers, rich wooden accents and celestial blue furnishings.
Replacing Signatures is Chartreuse, already a guest favourite aboard Seven Seas Explorer and Seven Seas Voyager®. The restaurant boasts new furnishings, china, flooring and décor, along with a completely new menu that highlights modern French cuisine. Further enhancements were also made to La Veranda, allowing guests to indulge their palate while surrounded by a flawless ambiance. Seven Seas Mariner’s pool deck also received a comprehensive redesign, with a new open layout and teak flooring throughout. The centrepiece is a new mosaic-tiled pool, featuring a broad ledge for lounging in shallow water and surrounded by plush, white daybeds. Guests can enjoy expanded lunch selections at the outdoor Pool Grill, including steaks, chops, salmon, chicken and sausage, all prepared to order from new infrared barbeque grills. Inside, all public spaces received new carpeting, world-class art, furniture and décor, creating a new look throughout the ship. The Reception area, featuring new marble desks and original gold leaf accented artwork by Atlanta-based artist Tom Swanston. The grand spiral staircase in the atrium is crowned by a new large-scale blown glass art installation designed by Canadian studio Tsunami Glass, creating a beautiful view as you descend the glass elevators. The completely remodelled and relocated library exudes comfort with dark-wood bookshelves contrasted against cream furnishings, crowned by a glistening copper-adorned chandelier. With plenty of books to choose from and with doors that can provide a quiet retreat, guests will enjoy relaxing and enriching their minds in the new library. The previous library space makes way for expanded seating at Coffee Connection, where guests have more space to enjoy delicious coffee drinks in a stylish new setting with leather furnishings in rich tones. The internet café is now conveniently located at the back of Coffee Connection, allowing guests the ability to stay connected with friends and family back home with free unlimited internet access. Outside on deck 6, there is all new teak decking and new sun loungers, allowing guests to comfortably relax in peace and enjoy the ocean breeze and soak in a sunrise or sunset. Guests will also take comfort in the latest luxury styles in the Card Room, Boutiques, and The Casino, all completely revamped from the steel up. Guests will be able to enjoy some of their favourite experiences on board in a completely new way.
Offering an expansive menu of invigorating and restorative rituals, the shipboard Canyon Ranch® Spa received a soothing new design, featuring pebble-stone tiles and light-wood accents in the treatment rooms. The adjoining fitness and aerobics centre offers new state-of-the-art machines and equipment to help guests maintain healthier, active regimens while at sea.
Leaving no detail untouched, Regent Seven Seas Cruises redesigned all guest suites. The elegantly appointed retreats feature new Elite Slumber™ Beds framed by plush, padded leather headboards, sitting areas furnished with comfortable sofas, accent tables and new artwork, as well as private balconies where guests can enjoy breath-taking views of the crystal blue sea and passing landscape. All suites feature walk-in closets and oversized, marble-accented bathrooms with L’Occitane® amenities. Plus, guests of Penthouse Suites enjoy additional in-suite bath amenities by Guerlain, and Distinctive Suite guests also receive Bottega Veneta.
With her renovations complete, Seven Seas Mariner is repositioning to the Pacific Northwest to take travellers on 15 unforgettable seven, 10- and 11-night immersive, Alaska itineraries, which alternate departures from Vancouver and Seward. With free unlimited shore excursions included as part of the cruise fare, the all-inclusive experience aboard Regent Seven Seas Cruises delivers the best value in America’s Last Frontier

One of the world’s best-loved and most highly awarded actresses and singers, Elaine Paige, will serve as godmother to our elegant new all-suite ship, Seabourn Ovation.
The naming ceremony will take place Friday 11 May in the beautiful harbour of Valletta, Malta during a spectacular ceremony that will light up the dramatic UNESCO World Heritage site and the 2018 European Capital of Culture. Seabourn enjoys a multi-year partnership with UNESCO to support our efforts to protect World Heritage at sites around the world.
Elaine's biography reads like a “who’s who” of the stage musical. She originated the role of Eva Peron in Evita, followed by Grizabella in Cats and Florence in Chess. She has starred in more smash hit West End and Broadway musicals than anyone else of her generation – from Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, Anything Goes, Sunset Boulevard, to The King & I; Sweeney Todd and Follies - and many more.
With an impressive and glittering roster of accolades, Elaine bears the unofficial title of “The First Lady of British Musical Theatre.” She has defined musicals and has simply set the gold standard. In 1995, she was awarded an OBE (Order of the British Empire) for services to Musical Theatre by HM Queen Elizabeth II.
Elaine has delighted audiences around the world, from The White House, The Great Hall of the People in Beijing, and The Sydney Opera House to The Bolshoi, New York’s Lincoln Center, and London’s Royal Albert Hall. She has recorded 22 solo albums, has been featured on seven cast albums, and earned eight consecutive gold and four multi-platinum discs, achieving chart topping hits including signature tunes Don’t Cry for Me Argentina and I Know Him So Well.
“I am so honoured to have been asked to be Godmother to Seabourn Ovation,” Elaine says, “Seabourn’s legendary service has the same DNA as a hit West End show: a dedicated cast of professionals who all come together to deliver a superb performance, whatever their role. I can’t wait to board the beautiful Seabourn Ovation and send her off into the world!”
Her television work includes drama on BBC & ITV, her own series on SKY Arts, and more roles to be aired on BBC & ITV this year. She continues to host her BBC Radio 2 show, Elaine Paige On Sunday, regularly attracting 2.5 million listeners every week.
When not performing, Elaine works tirelessly for charities including The Children’s Trust. She is President for the Dan Maskell Tennis Trust, an Ambassador to the Royal Voluntary Service and an Artistic Associate of Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Other charities include Breast Cancer Campaign, the Royal Academy of Dance Silver Swans, and Support Dogs amongst many others.
Seabourn Ovation is the fifth ultra-luxury ship in our fleet. With stunning contemporary interiors by design icon Adam D. Tihany, culinary expertise by Michelin-starred chef Thomas Keller, specially commissioned entertainment by Sir Tim Rice and an exciting programme of on-board speakers, Ovation will sail on cruises in and around Europe between May and November 2018, hailing at ports throughout Northern Europe and the Mediterranean.

Silverseas are delighted to inform you of their plans to enhance their beloved Silver Spirit. In March 2018, she will go under an extensive refurbishment that will amplify your experience where it matters, all the while maintaining the characteristics that make her so special: superior service, gastronomic cuisine and world class wine, and small enough to continue to visit both secluded and iconic ports.
The ship will be lengthened by inserting a prebuilt 49-foot-long, 15 meters, and 800 gross tonnage mid-section. This will allow us to offer an exciting array of enhancements.
They are adding new restaurant concepts to diversify your gastronomic experience. Besides brand new menus, you will also enjoy a wider variety of dining options.
Every suite is getting a new design similar to Silver Muse and upgrades to the technology and in-suite entertainment.
The convivial atmosphere highly appreciated by our guests will be even more pleasant with an enhanced layout and updated bars and lounges. Plus, with the new Zagara spa and larger pool deck there will be space to unwind and relax.

As the only North American luxury cruise line to be granted permission to offer voyages to Cuba, Regent Seven Seas Cruises is adding more visits to the Caribbean island on two itineraries in 2019 and 2020. Seven Seas Mariner will offer the line’s first immersive Cuba itinerary on her 15 October 2019 voyage, calling on Havana, Cienfuegos and Santiago de Cuba, providing guests more opportunities to engage in group, people-to-people activities intended to enhance contact with the Cuban people, and to immerse in the island’s culture. Havana is also being added into Seven Seas Navigator’s 25 April 2020 voyage.
"We are proud to have been the first North American luxury line to call on Cuba and are delighted to offer more opportunities for travellers to visit such a historic and culture-rich destination," said Jason Montague, president and chief executive officer of Regent Seven Seas Cruises. "On these eight future sailings that visit Cuba, guests will be treated to informative presentations from experts and scholars, as well as enjoy our distinctive, highly personalised service from every member of our exceptional staff and crew."
As part of Regent Seven Seas Cruises' most-inclusive luxury experience, guests have the widest selection of free and unlimited, expertly crafted Cuba shore excursions in compliance with the Office of Foreign Assets Control’s (OFAC) regulations. Guests can meet with the people of Cuba and explore the island’s music, art, history and culture while enjoying as many shore excursions as their time allows.
In Havana, guests can walk in the storied steps of Ernest Hemingway and learn about the city's Baroque, neoclassical and Renaissance architecture. From Cienfuegos, guests can visit Valle de los Ingenios (Valley of the Sugar Mills) and Trinidad, both deemed World Heritage sites for their well-preserved, Colonial-era architecture, and learn about traditional pottery methods at a family-owned workshop along the way. Santiago de Cuba will offer even greater context to events that changed the course of Cuban history, where guests can visit San Juan Hill and learn about the 18th century battle which led to the end of Spanish rule.
Seven Seas Mariner made Regent's maiden call on Havana in April 2017. Travellers can choose among eight future itineraries that offer guests an opportunity to visit Cuba. Seven Seas Mariner’s 10 October 2018 voyage, will call again on Havana on its trans-Panama Canal voyage to the South Pacific, while the ship’s new 15 October 2019 voyage will offer three Cuban ports. After a 20-day drydock in April 2018 at Chantier Naval de Marseille, Seven Seas Mariner will re-emerge with dramatic new culinary experiences, elegant new suite designs, and completely renewed modern guest spaces. After her drydock refurbishment, Seven Seas Mariner will immediately reposition to the Pacific Northwest to take travellers on a fully immersive, luxury Alaska experience.
‘We are delighted to relaunch the refurbished Seven Seas Mariner for what will be an unforgettable 2018 Alaska season,’ said Jason Montague, president and chief executive officer of Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
‘Seven Seas Mariner will have been elevated to the highest standards of elegance, and guests will enjoy the highly personalised service delivered by every member of Seven Seas Mariner’s exceptional staff and crew. Once Seven Seas Mariner completes her refurbishment, Regent’s fleet will definitively be the most luxurious at sea.’
The refurbished Seven Seas Mariner will sail the Last Frontier on 15 unforgettable seven, 10- and 11-night itineraries, which alternate departures from Vancouver and Seward. With an average of 44 free and unlimited shore excursions included as part of the cruise fare, a most-inclusive, luxury Alaska experience aboard Seven Seas Mariner delivers the best value for an adventure in the Great Land.
Renewed Modern Spaces
Seven Seas Mariner’s pool deck will receive the most comprehensive redesign, with a new open layout and teak flooring throughout. The centrepiece is a new mosaic-tiled pool, featuring a broad ledge for lounging in shallow water. Guests can enjoy expanded lunch selections, including steaks, chops, salmon, chicken and sausage, offered a la minute from new infrared barbeque grills and new buffet bars at the Pool Grill.
The ship’s atrium, corridors and guest spaces will all receive new carpeting, art, furniture and décor. Guests will take comfort in the latest luxury styles in the reception area, Coffee Connection, Card Room, boutiques, and the Casino, all completely revamped from the steel up. A handsome, remodelled Library will exude comfort with dark-wood bookshelves contrasted against cream furnishings, crowned by a glistening copper-adorned chandelier. A vibrant cobalt-and-silver colour scheme will complete the country club ambiance in the Connoisseur Club cigar lounge. Additionally, the flooring on the Deck 6 Promenade will be replaced with new teak.
Offering an expansive menu of invigorating and restorative rituals for Seven Seas Mariner guests, the shipboard Canyon Ranch SpaClub will receive a soothing new design, featuring pebble-stone tiles and light-wood accents in the treatment rooms. The adjoining fitness and aerobics centre also will see new state-of-the-art machines and equipment to help guests maintain healthier, active regimens while at sea.
Elegant New Accommodations
Seven Seas Mariner guests will be ensconced in new elegantly appointed suites, featuring décor such as the Regent Elite Slumber bed with plush, padded leather headboard, and enjoy incomparable views of the mesmerizing sea and passing landscape from their private balcony or sitting area, furnished with a stylish sofa, accent table and new artwork. All suites feature walk-in closets and oversized, marble-accented bathrooms with L’Occitane amenities.
New and Dramatic Regent Dining Experiences
New gourmet culinary experiences also will delight Seven Seas Mariner guests. The flagship restaurant Compass Rose will deliver a new sophisticated ambiance, with added dramatic flair created by grand crystal chandeliers, recessed ceiling lights, sleek, leather chairs ringing intimate tables, and plush cobalt blue drapes accenting the restaurant’s oversized windows. Compass Rose guests will savour the recently introduced menu, which provides seemingly endless, customisable combinations, making it the largest speciality restaurant at sea.
Regent’s new Chartreuse speciality restaurant also will be installed during the ship’s refurbishment and debut a delectable modern French menu. Already a guest favourite and first introduced aboard Seven Seas Explorer, Chartreuse’s menu of innovative French fare will be complemented with new furnishings, china, flooring and décor elements that together evoke memories of a fine Parisian restaurant. Additionally, long-time favourite Prime 7 classic steakhouse will receive a facelift and debut an ultra-stylish design, featuring a vibrant blue and tan colour scheme.
